I was driving on the interstate and saw a huge billboard advertising Sun City Peachtree, an active adult living community created by the same developers (Del Webb) as Sun City, Arizona. The community is only 35 min. away
from Atlanta. The website advertises the community as a place to "find more fun, more fitness, more artistic expression, and more special social events than you can imagine...the real beauty of living at Sun City Peachtree is meeting like-minded people and making life-long friends who love the same things you do and know how to make the most of everyday."

Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, bocce courts, tennis courts, golf course, indoor and outdoor pools, pottery kiln, movie theater, professional teaching kitchen, botanical demonstration gardens, arts and crafts studios, among many. The website lists 17 amenities and the teaser "and more!"
There are numerous events on the calendar that include seminars, club meetings, parties, trips, wine tasting, etc. It sounds to me like a cruise boat on steroids with constant activities and things to do. There is also a full-time lifestyle director (sounds like a cruise director) that meets with residents to help them find activities that fit "your personality, passions, and style."
Homes are reasonably priced starting in the 180's and go to 290's plus and range from about 1100 sq. feet to about 2600 sq. feet. You can pick from three series of houses cleverly named the azalea, dogwood and magnolia collections. Each collection has four floor plans to choose from. You can then pick different "signature standards" for different fixtures, etc.
The pictures are from the community's website: http://www.suncitypeachtree.com/.
